Prevention will look at awareness, challenging stigma and how businesses can spot warning signs and have the literacy and confidence to intervene. From a postvention point of view, we will explore how far-reaching the trauma impact can be within an organisation, ranging from those who were close with the individual who lost their life, to those in people processes who have to action much of the administrative side of an organisation dealing with a death in this way. We will look at what good practice in communications might look like.

We will talk about the current status of what research tells us about suicide, and corresponding risks, and open a safe space for members to share ideas and raise questions.

World Suicide Prevention Day is on 10 September, which gives members a platform to talk about suicide internally, and we will also discuss ways in which this event can be marked with the employee population.
