Continuing Professional Development webinar on Suicide Awareness

At this webinar event you will:
- hear from workplace mental health experts about the context, statistics and stigma behind suicide in the UK;
- learn about the importance of intervention from the Samaritans and find out what good intervention can look like; and
- be provided with upskilling and tangible takeaway actions by expert trainer Jaan Madan.
The goal of this event is to increase attendees’ understanding of the topic and their confidence to have a conversation with someone who may be thinking about suicide.
This event is aimed at those within your organisation who provide wellbeing touch points and support. This can include:
- Mental Health First Aiders
- Wellbeing/Mental Health Champions, Ambassadors or Advocates
- Peer Supporters
- Mentors
- Those in a ‘Buddy System’
- Human Resources professionals
- Co-chairs of mental health networks and others.
One in five people in the UK will experience suicidal feelings at some point in their lives. Given we spend so much time of our life as part of our workplace community, it is highly likely that there will be people struggling to cope in our workplace.
