Our next CPD session will be an opportunity to learn about the many ways in which the extended state of permacrisis, and individual world events, are impacting on the mental health of colleagues.

Permacrisis was the Collins Dictionary Word of the Year in 2022. It was defined as: 'living through a period of war, inflation, and political instability,' and: ‘an extended period of instability and insecurity.' Unfortunately, this permacrisis state was present through 2023 and looks set to continue into 2024.

Our speakers are mental health expert, Dr Cecile Bowie, who will bring an academic and clinical view of the psychological impact of compounding events. Sean Maywood will share what PwC has done to support employees impacted by world events.
